One Happy Camper gives campers a gift toward their first summer at Jewish overnight camp. Your child will have the summer of a lifetime, filled with exciting activities, new friends, and meaningful Jewish experiences.
About Our Grants
The Foundation for Jewish Camp (FJC), in partnership with organizations across North America, offers incentive grants—ranging from $700 to $1000—to first-time overnight Jewish campers. Summer camp will provide your child with a sense of independence, amazing new skills, a stronger Jewish identity, and tons of FUN!
Grants are awarded to campers who will attend a nonprofit Jewish overnight camp. With over 155 camps across North America to choose from, there is bound to be the perfect one for your child. Use our Find a Camp search engine to locate the perfect summer experience. Grant amounts and eligibility are determined by your local sponsoring organization in partnership with the Foundation for Jewish Camp. Some programs even offer grants for returning campers.
The One Happy Camper Program was created with the goal of inspiring new campers to try Jewish overnight camp. The philanthropists behind this program understand that it’s difficult to reach Jews that find themselves on the margins or even outside of Jewish life. Thus, One Happy Camper incentives generally apply to families whose children do not attend Jewish day school or yeshiva.
Last summer, these programs helped more than 10,000 new campers enjoy the time of their lives at Jewish summer camp. This year, let us help the new camper in your family enjoy an unforgettable summer.
The One Happy Camper Program encompasses over 50 regional, community, and camp co-sponsored grant programs across North America including:
- Community or federation co-sponsored programs
- Camp co-sponsored programs
- PJ (Library) Goes to Camp partnership with the Harold Grinspoon Foundation
Returning JWest and Midwest Interfaith Incentive Program recipients can also apply for their remaining grant(s) through this website.
