Capacity Grants

As the demand for Jewish overnight summer camp increases, camps must strive to expand their capacity. FJC offers Capacity Grants to help support growth by the creation of site master plans, strategic plans, quality control systems, customer service systems, information management, and marketing and consumer research.

FJC assistance may include a combination of financial and technical support as well as consulting expertise. Capacity Grants are intended to provide a camp with a stronger platform for reaching more Jewish youth and achieving excellence.

Camps operating below their enrollment capacity have the greatest potential for growth. Focused on camps in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions, the Turnaround Project engages participants in a series of hands-on, interactive workshops on topics such as financial management, sales and marketing, customer service, camp operations and program design. Each camp director receives ongoing support from an FJC consultant who provides additional guidance and training, empowering camps to reach new levels of success.
