FJC Advocacy Programs
FJC Advocacy Programs The Foundation for Jewish Camp works tirelessly to advocate for the field of non-profit Jewish camping. The power of Jewish camp can transform the lives of our young people while solidifying their Jewish identity. FJC convenes meetings and conferences with camp professionals, board members, funders and public relations specialists in order to spread the message about the importance of Jewish camping.

In addition, FJC works with local federation professionals, funders, and community camping leaders across North America to create scholarship and/or incentive programs within their own community. Most recently, FJC worked with an anonymous donor in Chicago to launch the Campership Program of Chicago, a program that provided financial incentives to families of first time and second-year returning campers. It is our goal to replicate this sort of incentive program for more Jewish children in other cities.

FJC also supports research about the field of Jewish camping including topics such as market needs and the impact of Jewish camp on campers. The results of the research will enable camps to better serve their Jewish community. By working with Jewish camps on marketing and public relations the FJC aims to help educate the public about the importance of Jewish camping.
