The Foundation for Jewish Camp challenges movements, independent camps, and new organizations to grow capacity with market understanding.
FJC will expand capacity within camps as well as work to support the establishment of new camps, across the country. More beds, more sites, more leaders.
FJC will support the creation of new specialty programs and flexible programs to appeal to what may have been perceived as peripheral or marginal audiences. Jewish camps that specialize in state of the art sports clinics, political science camps, art, music and drama camps are all secure in the plans; as well as camps with shorter terms or placed in urban and suburban facilities, offering diversity of experience as well as population.
Scholarships. One of the most important facets of the FJC plan is the development of partnerships with local Federations and community philanthropies to help them develop and administer scholarship funds to support aggressive outreach programs to and for families in need.
