Camp Solomon Schechter

Camp Solomon Schechter offers a truly unique setting for a Jewish educational experience. Our programs cater to campers entering grades 2-11, and the majority of our staff members have spent their lives at Schechter.

The camp is located an hour from Seattle and two hours from Portland. Our spectacular 160-acre wooded-facility located in Olympia, WA, features breathtaking views of our private Lake Stampfer and the untouched beauty of our forests and protected wetlands. Located within view of Mount Rainier, Camp Solomon Schechter backs up to the Deschutes River, where we have our very own special campsite.

Daily activities are supervised by our extensively trained counselors and professional medical and Jewish education staff who help guarantee a successful camp experience. Campers can look forward to talent shows, skits, karaoke night, double dare, carnivals, campfires, Israel Day, Canada Day, fireworks, dances, capture the flag, scavenger hunts, and many more fantastic evening programs. CSS campers also share cabin programs that strengthen bonds between each other and counselors, providing lifelong memories.
