Camp Ramah in the Poconos

Creating lifelong Jewish connections, one happy camper at a time.

Camp Ramah in the Poconos is a Jewish overnight summer camp located in Pennsylvania’s Pocono Mountains for kids and teens in grades 2-10. Programming includes swimming in a pool and a lake, waterfront activities, recently renovated sports facilities, creative and performing arts, camping, tripping and more. Renovated bunks and many new improvements to our campus create a modern living and camping experience. Steeped in tradition, Camp Ramah in the Poconos has consistently built a warm, nurturing, and fun Jewish summer camp environment. We strive to create a place that your child will call their “home away from home” for the rest of their lives. Camp Ramah also offers several types of programming for children with special needs.

Meet The Director

Rabbi Joel Seltzer

Rabbi Joel Seltzer is originally from Philadelphia, PA and he himself is a home-grown productof Camp Ramah in the Poconos. Whether as a camper, a counselor, a Rosh Edah (Division Head), or Rosh Drama (Head of Performing Arts), Rabbi Joel learned countless personal and professional life lessons from his time at camp. A graduate of the Jewish Theological Seminary of America, Rabbi Joel served as a rabbi at Temple Emanu-El in Providence, RI for four years before returning to his spiritual home: Camp Ramah. Rabbi Joel lives in Cherry Hill with his wife (whom he met at Camp!), and their three daughters.
