About The Camp

Berkshire Hills Emanuel Camps is a Jewish cultural  co-ed camp for children ages 7-17, located two hours from NY in the foothills of the Berkshires. With hundreds of acres surrounding the camp for hiking, biking and overnights, the camp also enjoys a pristine  60 acre private lake. Our exciting staff, chosen for their passion and professionalism, includes many former campers as well as Jewish University students from around the world.  From Red cross instructional swim, kayaking and boating to drama, music and the arts,  your child will experience it all.  Similarly, BHEC offers a non-competitive fun filled sports program to include softball, basketball, soccer, volleyball, tennis, rope course, etc.

In addition to being Kosher, a rich Jewish culture infuses the entire camp with an atmosphere of warmth and acceptance and friendship. Our Adult Vacation Center affords us the opportunity for intergenerational activity including Friday night dinners, bonfires, and one on one connections over a game of shuffleboard, chess and more. A two week program for first time campers, grades 2-5 is also available.
